Week 04: Talk More

It’s time for each team to own their projects (casts and imaging), and begin to talk more about their work. It’s difficult to talk about the uncertainties that the projects foreground (i.e. : “I don’t know what to say”). TRY — tell a story that is specifically related to the things you’ve done. The readings, paintings, Ensamble Studio’s work, everything that has been a part of the studio can influence your thoughts about the work.

JUST BE SPECIFIC. Below are some notes to keep you going:

The Reader’s Cave is…

A monument to books
A memorial to reading
A contrived addition to Briggs Library
A place to read
A site to protest
A theatre stage
A throwback folly
A useless sculpture
A new geological ruin
A chunk of reusable concrete
A perpetual dig site
A piece of something else
A fill in the blank

Tell a story and assert something architectural, anything.

Rembember…

Constuction matters most
Sites are important
Program is irrelevant
